New Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations at ÉEQ
On September 13th, Éco Entreprises Québec will welcome Philippe Cantin as Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations.
Public affairs strategies, media relations and government relations will be part of his daily schedule. Philippe will also be responsible for the organization’s internal and external communications as well as consultation activities with different stakeholders.
His strong background in the environment and sustainable development sector along with his proven leadership at the Retail Council of Canada (RCC), through the establishment of new organizations responsible for the extended producer responsibility (EPR), will be key assets for Philippe when taking on these new challenges.
In February 2021, Éco Entreprises Québec announced the creation of two new vice presidencies:
- Transition Office for the Modernization of Curbside Recycling
- Financial Management and Organizational Performance
The Public Affairs and Governmental Relations vice presidency is also part of the organizational changes happening at ÉEQ in support of the transition towards a modernized system for curbside recycling.
