This tool will help you determine how to report your container, packaging or printed matter (CP&PM) items. Before using it, please read through the information below:

• This tool is not adapted for CP&PM made of several different materials. If this is the case with your items, please pay extra attention to the following:
  • As a general rule, if the components can be easily detached (e.g. caps, lids, etc.), they should be declared separately. You could use this tool for each individual component in order to determine under which material each needs to be reported.
  • If the components are integrated and cannot be detached, they might have to be reported under a single material, even if they contain two different types of materials. This is the case, for example, with a CP&PM item that is made mostly of boxboard but also includes a little plastic window. In a case such as this one, both materials would have to be reported under the main CP&PM material, i.e. boxboard.
